As you take the higher altitude from Ganesh Tok, there is a more beautiful place to visit, the Hanuman Tok which has a beautiful orange idol of Lord Hanuman that ensnares the visitors. This temple is specifically taken care of by the Indian Army and is a very peaceful place to visit. Much closer to the Do-Drul Chorten and Namgyal Institute of Tibetology, you can go for thrill ropeway cable car rides and enjoy an overall view of the city and adjacent area.

If you are visiting Gangtok from April to June or between September till November, then you must make way to the Flower Exhibition Center. With the greenhouse full of exotic blooms, mainly the orchids. You can get to purchase Orchid seeds and bulbs as well.
You can watch exotic orchid varieties in Deorali Orchid Sanctuary, little nearer to Namgyal Institute of Tibetology.
